Published References For consistency (although our image is not included), look at titles of dogs in Crémière's book Le Chenil Illustré (Paris: Librarie de Firmin Didot et Cie, 1885), in which several different breeds of dog are printed (illustrated) and discussed in depth. Crémière was also the editor of the newspaper Le Chenil. It appears that the title we have is consistent with those notes on canines. Inscriptions, Signatures and Marks
