DescriptionThis tankard features a wheel engraved view of Rheinstein Castle near Frankfurt, Germany. Though its origins are medieval, the castle underwent significant renovations during the 1820s under the ownership of Prussian prince Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig and under the direction of architect Johann Claudius von Lassaulx.
