Technical notes and description: Tabby-weave wool face; wool filling; tabby-weave wool and linen backing; wool thread. Five pieces of bright pink, probably imported, glazed, worsted fabric form the face of this quilt, which is patterned with cream quilting running stitches in an overall random, scrolling vegetal motif. The background is filled with diagonal lines. Quilting stitches secure pale blue-green backing, wool batting filling, and face fabric. The face fabric retains permanent creases in the warp direction from glaze pressing process.
