Katchadourian’s series Sorted Books exposes the character of book collections
through improvisational arrangements. For Primitive
Art, she used books from the library of the Akron Museum of Art to
reference the influence of African sculpture on the paintings of Pablo Picasso.
Katchadourian questions what hidden stories collected possessions might reveal.
