Description

Technical notes and description: Tabby-weave cotton face and back; cotton filling. Four panels of cloth form this near square, white, stuffed-work quilt. The motif is outlined with running stitches beginning with a central floral and fruit basket framed by four garland borders: wheat, coiling morning-glorylike vine, floral and fruit swag rising to bowknots, and grapevine. The last two border only three sides, and in the pillow area the decorative quilting ends.
