The names inscribed in the center top pair of medallions of this quilt suggest it was made for or by Deborah Faulkner in commemoration of her marriage to Daniel Faulkner.
Technical notes and description: Tabby-weave wool face and back: wool filling; wool thread. This tri-panel, dark blue, probably imported, worsted fabric faced quilt is patterned with running stitches that create forty-eight ten-inch circles containing flowers or a basket. The quilt is bordered on three sides with semicircles containing baskets. Lattice lines fill the background. Blue quilting stitches secure a yellowish-tan backing to wool filling and face fabric.
