Description

Technical notes and description: Tabby-weave cotton face and back; cotton filling. This all-white, almost square quilt has a large central medallion incorporating three birdlike motifs. The center is surrounded by two inner circles, the outline of which resembles, in a calligraphic manner, mirror-image scrolls and hearts. Filling the corners and outer borders is a lattice ground. The exterior border is composed of scroll-like forms. Quilting stitches secure the three layers of cotton products.
