DescriptionThis teapot form derives from a Chinese wine pot. They are sometimes called Cadogan teapots because of a traditional association with the first Earl of Cadogan (1675–1726). Such pots have an opening in the base and an integral interior tube through which they are filled. Cadogan teapots were first manufactured in the early 19th century at the Rockingham Porcelain Factory and thereafter by other English manufacturers.
