DescriptionAs the 1700s drew to a close, glass factories opened in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and would soon open elsewhere in the Midwest as the frontier of European settlement pushed westward. This pocket bottle was probably produced in the Zanesville, Ohio, area.
Provenance[McKearin’s Antiques, New York]; purchased by Miss Ima Hogg, 1958; given to MFAH, 1969.
