Description

The relatively narrow, oval, sharply saddled seat of this sack-back chair is often seen in New England, and the inward taper of the lower legs is typical of Rhode Island.

Technical notes: Southern yellow pine (seat), white oak (crest and arm rails), ash (legs, stretchers, spindles, right arm support), birch (left arm support).
