DescriptionCarpet weights are poetically called mir-i farsh, or “masters of the carpet.” They anchor summer carpets covering the marble floors of Indian palaces or hold in place textile coverings over the cenotaphs in Muslim saints’ tombs. The domed shape recalls architectural domes in the Deccan.
