DescriptionKati Horna left Europe at the beginning of World War II. Along with her husband, the Spanish artist José Horna, she purchased a home in Mexico City, creating a safe haven for exiled artists. Soon, the Surrealist painters Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington fled Europe to Horna’s Mexican refuge. Safe in Horna’s home, the three women artists merged sculpture, performance, and photography, creating this mysterious and fantastic work of art.
