ProvenanceThe painting was initially in the Mewar Royal Collection before entering the Collection of Dr. Svetoslav Roerich (October 23, 1904, Saint Petersburg – January 30, 1993, Bangalore) where it remained until the the late 1960s. It was in a private European collection through the mid-1970s, after which it was acquired by an American collector. It was offered by the dealer Francesca Galloway and offered to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in September 2013.
