While similar in design to B.69.413, this large high-back Windsor features the slightly later short baluster and long, tapering leg turnings. The outboard back spindles flare as they rise to the crest.
Technical notes: Soft maple (legs, stretchers), white oak (crest and arm rails), hickory (spindles), yellow-poplar (seat). The spindles and the lower part of the legs, just below the urn turning, are restorations.
