DescriptionDigital technology has made changes to color and additions to photographs quick and easy, yet in the early 20th century embellishments and colors had to be laboriously applied by hand to photographs to create more realistic images and to distinguish important details. This stunning Spanish example was carefully and colorfully embroidered to emphasize the elaborate details of the toreros’s traje de luces (“suit of lights”).
