DescriptionThis monumental charger is the culmination of 500 years of luster ceramic production in Arab lands. Islamic lusterware techniques and production persisted after the fall of Muslim Spain in 1492, particularly in the region of Valencia. This magnificent piece, decorated with a European coat of arms at its center, is characteristic of the best quality works produced exclusively for a European market where they were in high demand.
