Los cuadros irregulares de Rhod Rothfuss influenciaron a
Freire, quien procuró hacer esculturas de autonomía concreta manipulable por el
observador. Aquí, transforma material industrial en un juego de líneas
espaciales. Piezas de fierro pintado con bisagras generan formas “con bordes
duros” desplegables en varios sentidos. Como el Röyi de Kosice (aquí cerca), esta estructura es interactiva y funde
el arte con el cotidiano, una meta clave del impulso vanguardista utópico en
Latinoamérica y Europa.
