yuxtaponer superficies lisas y melladas con clavos martillados a través de la
hoja metálica y desecho industrial de las villas-miseria de México, Mensaje engloba el deseo de Goeritz de
producir una vivencia espiritual vía arte. Llegó a esta experiencia mediante un
proceso de performance reiterativa. La obra configura, también, su interés por
el arte religioso y rechazo a la estética decadente del medio artístico. Igual
a las pinturas animistas de Elsa Gramcko, la serie manifiesta el anhelo de
dotar al desecho industrial con vida.
