- Every home has the necessary items for a war-gas first aid kit, San Franciscans are being told by the Emergency Medical Service of the San Francisco Civilian War Council. The kit should contain baking soda for washing out eyes, nose and throat and for a temporary gas mask; powdered laundry soap for washing the skin; hydrogen peroxide and a laundry bleaching solution for additional washing; paper tissue with which to blot gas from the skin and a mild pain killer.
