Invited onto the set of the 2015 James Bond film “Spectre,” the British duo Anderson & Low cleverly captured both the fact and fiction of modern cinema. The illusion is so convincingly constructed that it almost seems easier to believe that the apparatus of a sound stage has been hoisted above Westminster Bridge than to accept that everything seen in the lower portion of the photograph is fake. In this era of Photoshop, one might even question whether the illusion is Anderson & Low’s rather than the movie studio’s, but in fact their photograph is truthful and unmanipulated.
