BiographyBéchard opened a professional photographic studio in the Ezbekia Garden district of Cairo, Egypt, in 1869. Béchard exchanged photographs and negatives with the Turkish photographer J. Pascal Sébah. In 1888, his photographs of Egypt were published as photogravures in the book "L'Égypte et la Nubie", Paris, 1888.
