BiographyCeramist at Newcomb College Pottery, first hired in 1888. The group dissolved in 1893, but in Meyer was appointed chief potter to the Newcomb Pottery in 1897 and remained its potter until his retirement in 1927. In addition to wheel-throwing forms, his responsibilities to the Pottery’s physical plant included clay and glaze mixing and managing the firings in kilns and facility maintenance.
