English-born designer Simon Lloyd became proficient in several design areas after studying at the London College of Printing and at High Wycombe once the hub of the British furniture industry. He completed his BA Hons. in three dimensional design in 1977. After moving to Australia in the '80s Lloyd began with small commissions and later worked with Melbourne designer Peter Sands to design and produce furniture for production and numerous commissioned projects including the ABC and Australian Embassy in Tokyo. His work extends to set and exhibition design. Under his company Sisu, Lloyd designs and manufactures products from a broad palate of materials, currently specializing in ceramics.
