BiographyThe text for the woodblock prints was written by Ryukatei Tanekazu (1807-1858). He was a pupil of Ryutei Tanehiko (1783 - 1842) and auther of traditional novels (gesakusha) and illustrated stories in several volumes (gokan-mono).
