BiographyChen changfen was born in Hunan Province, in Central South East China and began his career as a photographer in 1959 at the age of eighteen. Early in his career he developed a fascination for the Great Wall, a fascination that has remained with him since 1965, when he commenced photographing it. In 1989 he was instrumental in the establishment of the Beijing-based China Civil Aviation In-flight Magazine, of which he subsequently became the Deputy Editor-in Chief.
