BiographyBorn: 1935, Los Angeles, CA. Studio: Venice, CA. Education: Price studied at the Santa Monica City College and the Chouinard Art Institute and the Los Angeles City College; BFA from the University of Southern California, 1956. His defining education came from the Los Angeles Art Institute (later known as the Otis Art Institute) where he studied with Peter Voulkos and fellow students, John Mason, Michael Frimkess, and Henry Takemoto. Price returned to school, joining the graduate program at Alfred University. Art: He became part of the so-called “Fetish-Finish” movement in Los Angeles.
