From 1983 to 1990, he taught as a junior lecturer in the departement of visual arts, at the University of Paris VIII. Since 1992, he has been a senior lecturer for National Art Schools and has been teaching at the " Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts " in Dijon. John BATHO uses photography because of its plastic qualities. This then explains his interest in the photographic phenomenon and in the different procedures and media.
