BiographyKondo Takahiro was born and raised in Kyoto, the historical heart of Japan and a center of ceramics production, to a family of traditional sometsuke (blue and white porcelain) craftsmen. His grandfather was awarded the title of National Living Treasure, the highest status given to a craftsperson in Japan, and his father is an esteemed ceramist.
