BiographyCarl Sorenson was a Philadelphia based metalworker active in the 1920s-40s and noted for his art deco style wares. Using copper that was sometimes accented with bronze or inlaid metal, Sorenson created elegant hollowware pieces that were often classical in shape. Each piece was hand-raised or spun using a technique that referenced the hand-hammered style of the arts and crafts movement and art deco metalwork.
