The interiors photographed by
Sungsoo Koo are real, although one cannot help but doubt them. The intense
colors of the tour buses, wedding halls, carnival rides, and stores that Koo
photographs offer a visual equivalent to cacophony of noise heard on the
streets of Seoul from early morning to late night. Aptly named Magical Reality, the series also
highlights increasing evidence of other cultures in Korea.
