DescriptionSeung
Woo Back has produced two series relative to North Korea. One was made in the
capital, Pyongyang, during a one-month stay in 2000, but Back had to construct
pictures from what the government censors did not destroy. This photograph is
from the second series, Real World 2,
in which a multilateral force of toy soldiers invades homes in Seoul. Gathering
at night, they march across yards and sidewalks and gather in phone booths.
