Description

Although it was made at about the middle of the 1800s, this chest of drawers reflects the late classical style of the 1820s and 1830s. With columns resting on a base and supporting a cornice, its makes a strongly architectural statement. At first glance, it appears to have three drawers, but there are five altogether, including one in the cornice and one in the base.
