DescriptionAs part of the citywide sculpture exhibition that takes place in the German city of Münster every ten years, Thomas Struth took photographs of postwar architecture in and around the city and projected them from dusk until 3:00 a.m. onto walls of historic buildings in the old city center that had been selected by Münster citizens. Struth intended this superimposition of old and new to serve as a meditation on the history of the city, the majority of which was bombed at the end of World War II.
