Description

An internationally acclaimed photographer and filmmaker,
Bruce Weber has photographed for virtually every major magazine. Weber is the
best-known exponent of a style of male glamour that was highly influential in
the fashion world during the 1980s. The designers Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld,
and Ralph Lauren have all employed his talents to define their brand. Weber’s
chiseled models are sexy yet innocent, sculptural but relaxed, and convey an
image of clean-cut athleticism. Describing his work, Weber said, “We sometimes
photograph the things we can never be.”
