Object Type
photographed at Versailles beginning in 1901 and continuing throughout the remainder
of his career. The palace and park were suffused with the history of the Ancien
Régime, the prerevolutionary era of French kings, and provided a rich
intersection of sculpture, architecture, and landscape, ever changing with the
hours of the day and the passage of the seasons.
