Brian Fridge uses mundane materials to mirror
the processes of nature and the wonder of cosmological events. He made Vault Sequence by placing a camera
inside his kitchen freezer, capturing the exquisite spiral patterns that are
formed by vapor and captured by light. Commenting on this work, Fridge noted
that this DIY cosmos is made up of “video star clusters, video nebulae, video
galaxies and video black holes, each representing the universe.”
