In the 1930s and 1940s, the photographer Carlotta Corpron limited the subject matter of her photography to a single element: light. Capron investigated the way in which light often overwhelms and changes objects, capturing its reflection and refraction in building facades, drops of water, wall corners, and metal sheets. Her abstract compositions are mysterious with rippling surfaces of light and shade.
