[2] Richard Ainsworth Peto (1882, Kensington, London-1963, Isle of Wight, Hampshire) was married to Rosemary Peto. Works from his collection of French paintings were exhibited by the Arts Council, London in 1947 and 1951. (Information provided by Julia May Boddewyn, October 2024.) One of two works, including Toulouse-Lautrec’s “At the Table of Monsieur and Madame Natanson,” (MFAH 98.303), from the Peto collection that the Becks acquired and are today in the MFAH.
