DescriptionThis landscape depicts the home and property of Coleman Sellers, Charles Willson Peale's favorite son-in-law, who was married to his daughter Sophonisba Angusciola. Peale was in his 70s when he began to experiment with recording the landscapes of his relatives and neighbors as well as his own home, Belfield, outside of Philadelphia.
