Recto: Inscribed in printed ink, below plate, center: 2eme. Vue d'Aigleville, Colonie du Texas ou Champ d'Asile. / Riviére de la Trinité, Fort Charles, Magasin aux oioreset habitation du general Rigaud. / Na. La árrivée des nouveaux Colons fut signalée par la construction de 4 forts, Le 1er. sous le nom de Charles le 2e. sous celui du milieu le 3e. Henri et le 4e. Palanque sur le bord de la / riviére. Les côtes du Texas sont basses. couvertes de sable et marécageuses. La Colonie était placée entre le Golfe du Mexique d’un côté et les rivieres de la Sabine et de Barofso / de l’autre; au centre deux ruisseaux et des prairies dans une temperature semblable à celle du milli. 400. réfugiés commençaient áy gouter le repos, lorsque les Espangols marchérent sur eux - / pour les obliger à se retirer.
