Description

Both inexpensive and durable, pewter and Britannia were ideally suited for flatware. Because they were used daily, only a fraction of spoons and ladles predating 1825 survive. Lewis Kruiger is one of the better-known flatware manufacturers. The number of ladles known with his stamp suggests he specialized in this form.
