Description

The introduction of handheld cameras with roll film allowed
photographers to make pictures anywhere, unencumbered by bulky equipment and
long exposures. With that technical freedom, photojournalist Georgi Lipskerov
specialized in sports reporting, traveled to the far corners of the USSR, and
reported from the front lines during World War II.
