Inscriptions, Signatures and Marks
Inscription: The coat of arms of Loftus, the family name of the Earls of Ely,is engraved below the spout. It also bears the standard lion passant and crowned leopard's head of the London Guildhall as well as de Lamerie's mark, but is lacking the usual date letter.:
