DescriptionA glassmaker made this decanter by blowing glass into a multipart, cast-iron mold. Its pattern of ribs, small diamonds, and starbursts imitated more costly hand-cut glassware.
Provenance[McKearin’s Antiques, New York]; purchased by Miss Ima Hogg, 1925; given to MFAH, 1969.
