Description

This continuous-bow Windsor is made in the New York tradition but has less bulbous and bold turnings. The vertical void between the back arm spindle and out-board back spindle is more vertical and less harp-shaped than that of New York chairs of this type.

Technical notes: Yellow-poplar (seat), soft maple (right rear leg, left stretcher), elm (crest rail), ash (spindle fourth from left), birch (left arm support), beech (right arm support).
