Provenance[Christie’s, July 30, 1924, no. 226 (as "A Game of Cards")]; purchased by Lambert, 1924; Colonel Bradley, Palm Beach, Florida, in whose casino the picture is said to have hung in the 1930s and 1940s; [P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., London]; purchased by the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation, 1985.
