DescriptionTo accompany the aquamarine necklace and earrings (B.2009.45.A-.D and B.2009.46.A, .B), Miss Ima Hogg purchased an aquamarine and diamond ring from Neiman Marcus in Dallas on June 17, 1963. The central stone is an emerald cut aquamarine of approximately 43 carats; it is flanked by two baguette diamonds in a 14-karat yellow gold setting. The style is appropriate to the 1940s and is very sleek and contemporary compared to the antique aquamarine Regency style necklace.
Provenance[Neiman Marcus, Dallas, Texas]; purchased by Miss Ima Hogg, 1963; given to MFAH.
