Description

This unmarked teapot and cream pot, like B.69.256.2 and B.69.256.3, descended in Joseph Loring’s family. These vessels, however, present a wholly different aesthetic, revealing a more restrained, maturing interpretation of Neoclassicism.

Related examples: A similar but more refined rendition of this teapot is marked by Paul Revere’s shop in Buhler 1972, vol. 2, pp. 464–65, no. 414.
