DescriptionIt was surely with tongue in cheek that the great architect and designer Le Corbusier, famed for his innovative forms and use of nontraditional materials, photographed this cast-off clump of root and christened it The Root Chair, as if it were his latest creation—a “readymade” chaise longue.
