An artist’s signature in sumi ink and a seal in vermillion paste are located at lower left.
Inscriptions are penned on verso top left: “Brought form Nikko” [two lines / cursive in brown ink that appears faded.], “Watercolor from Nikko Japan. Send by Helen Hyde. Christmas 1902.” [three lines / cursive in graphite], “$150..” [in graphite].
The painting is signed "Seitei ga" in ink, accompanied by a red oval artist's seal that reads "Seitei." On the verso, there is an inscription in scripted ink that says, "Brought from Nikko." Additionally, inscribed in pencil below is the note, "Watercolor from Nikko, Japan. Sent by Helen Hyde - Christmas 1902."
